How to create a plan to strengthen health care strategies?

In Colombia, the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has been considerable, the national government and local leaders have limited the mobility of millions of people and reduced the operation of shops and services throughout the territory, especially in the health sector:

• Positive and Negative Covid-19 Cases.
• Desertion or treatment delays: thousands of appointments and procedures were cancelled.
• Confinement has increased sedentary lifestyle, nutrition problems and has affected the mental health of the population, making it necessary to evaluate its impact in the short, medium and long term.

Covid-19 cases
positives and negatives

Perception of patients who consulted for Covid-19, to improve care and avoid collapse in the care service.

Salud Nuevo Contexto-03.png

Desertion or treatment delay

Enrichment of databases to identify cases and carry out management to ensure adherence to treatments.

Confinement and its Impact (PyP)

Monitoring eating habits and physical activity in relation to the impact on the immune system and
chronic diseases.

Mental health monitoring and effects on the older population
sensitive.

Evaluation of the service by patients who consulted for symptoms of Covid-19

A measurement model with these modules is suggested…

Confidence and Positive Word of Mouth

Did it generate confidence in your EPS and in the health system?
Had talked
positively about your state of health and your EPS?

Modelo de salud-03.png

adhesion treatment and
health commitment

Did you make and take into account all the recommendations?
Do you follow the parameters and care to avoid contagion COVID19?
Do you take care of your health?

Modelo de salud-04.png

Collaboration with the health system

Supply of truthful information?
Proper use of the system and its EPS?

Perception of services

Channels used and perception of them to receive information from  Covid-19?
Have you received and used the activities and information during the lockdown?
Perception of the service received?

Enrichment of databases to find cases where there are cancellations and/or delays in treatments, to manage these patients

What is happening and which are controllable or possible to intervene?

1. Database debugging

Delivery of databases and a process of enlistment and cleaning of the databases that the health organization possesses is initiated, in the face of cases that are of interest.

2. Collection instruments and data imputation mechanisms

Capture instruments are developed jointly with the client, including safeguarding elements for personal medical history information, along with basic medical requirements to establish a clinical picture. Data imputation sources are established.

3. Collection of information and imputation

Through telephone calls, the information   will be collected based on the instruments prepared in the previous phase.

4. Analytics in PowerBI and Database Delivery

The respective statistical analyzes will be carried out and it will be delivered in PowerBI for viewing, together with the database with the profiles for approaching different stages of care. 1. Priority care 2. Personalized care 3. “Remote medical” care

Strengthen promotion and prevention plans, in the areas that confinement is having an impact on: nutrition, physical activity and mental health

2. Tests for settings and parameterization

Qualitative tests will be carried out to establish the parameters and they will be adjusted to obtain an own methodology for the entity

4. Instrument Design

Effects on the short-term immune system and on the prevalence of chronic and neurodegenerative diseases in a vulnerable population.

1. Research of Secondary Sources

Unification and standardization to the case of models such as eg. Diet and exercise Wittich (2010), Serda i Ferrer (2012), World Food Program (2009), and lock, Hartman and Naughton (1990) and internal sources and mental health eg Zhong et al. (2020), Wong et al. (2020), and Li et al. (2020).

3. Design of collection instruments

Preparation of instruments and collection of information for management.

5. Turn results into actions

The findings will be delivered in PowerBi and the action plan will be generated to carry out follow-ups, ensuring continuity and monitoring in sensitive segments.
