Nearly 50% of Bogotanos do not believe that the Metro will work in the next 10 years

In the most recent survey carried out by the National Consulting Center for 'La Luciérnaga' of Caracol Radio and Red+ Noticias, it was evidenced that the Metro, insecurity and TransMilenio continue to be the main concerns of the people of the capital.

49.7% of Bogotanos do not believe that the capital will have a functional Metro in the next 10 years, as revealed by the most recent survey of the Centro Nacional de Consultoría for La Luciérnaga by Caracol Radio and Red+ Noticias.


The survey showed that the first line of the Metro, the Mass Transportation System (TransMilenio), and insecurity continue to be some of the issues that most concern the inhabitants of the capital.

On the other hand, the survey carried out by the Centro Nacional de Consultoría revealed the frequency with which Bogota citizens use the TransMilenio. The survey revealed that 40.6% of the more than 4,500 respondents use the system several times a week; and only 9.1% never move in joints.


In turn, 70.1% assured that they have never entered the Mass Transportation System, one of the biggest scourges faced by the TransMilenio.


However, 80.7% assured that they have witnessed this practice, which according to the authorities reaches 9.1 million people per month.


Unsafety


Among the 36.5% of the citizens who confirmed in the survey, carried out for 'La Luciérnaga' by Caracol Radio and Red+ Noticias, that they used the bicycle lanes, 55.4% assured that they were victims or knew someone whom Your bike has been stolen in the past 12 months.


Employment


41.1% of those surveyed stated that they were currently unemployed. And within this group, 53.6% assured that they had been looking for job vacancies for more than a year.
