The work of firms that measure public opinion is scientific and should be evaluated based on methodological clarity, statistical precision, and consistency in the indicators. In this regard, the Centro Nacional de Consultoria (CNC) considers it necessary to clarify the publication disseminated today by SEMANA magazine on social media, which claims that Atlas Intel was the most accurate polling firm in the surveys.
The official results of the surveys are as follows:
Resultados en votos | Resultado porcentaje
Total votos | 20.900.614 | 100,0% |
La Gran Consulta | 5.857.395 | 28,0% |
Consulta de las Soluciones | 618.705 | 3,0% |
Frente por la Vida | 595.878 | 2,9% |
The data published by the various polling companies in the media are as follows:
Resultado porcentaje | Atlas | GAD3 | Guarumo | Invamer | CNC
La Gran Consulta | 28,0% | 12,0% | 37,0% | 26,0% | 34,3% | 26,40% |
Consulta de las Soluciones | 3,0% | 1,8% | 6,0% | 8,6% | 13,0% | 10,50% |
Frente por la Vida | 2,9% | 12,0% | 10,0% | 7,4% | 8,9% | 7,80% |
The data in the chart published by Atlas Intel today does not match the data they previously published in SEMANA magazine.
Comparative chart published by Atlas Intel

First, the data reported by Atlas Intel in the comparative chart differs from that published on the cover of SEMANA magazine.
Cover of Semana Magazine, Issue 2275

Secondly, the data in the black column, reported as yesterday's results, does not correspond to the actual results. For example, the 14.1% attributed to the Great Consultation for Colombia differs substantially from the 28% that this consultation actually obtained.
The correct table, calculated from the official results, is as follows:

This comparison reveals that the data used in the publication corresponds neither to the originally published results nor to the actual election results.
We consider it disloyal to the profession and to our colleagues for Atlas Intel to publish in SEMANA an evaluation of its performance compared to that of other polling firms using data different from both the originally published results and the actual election results. Democracy deserves better data.
The Centro Nacional de Consultoria reiterates its commitment to scientific rigor, methodological transparency, and respect for the technical standards that should guide public opinion research.
