There are four months left for the inhabitants of Bogotá to go to the polls to elect the new mayor to occupy the Palacio de Liévano. From there, a new mayor will govern in the capital of Colombia in the company of the also elected councilors and the other officials that make up his cabinet until the year 2028. The election process is scheduled for next Sunday, October 29, where the mayoralty will be voted for, as well as the 45 members of the District Council and the people who will make up the administrative boards of the 20 towns in the city, according to the National Registry. Although the candidates for the current position of Claudia López will not be officially known until June 29, when they register, there are already names that resonate as possible applicants. Among them are the former director of the Dian, Juan Daniel Oviedo; the former president of the Council of Bogotá, Carlos Fernando Galán and the former senator Gustavo Bolívar who remains in doubt about his candidacy. In fact, if the votes were held today, Oviedo would be the new mayor of Bogotá according to the latest survey by the Centro Nacional de Consultoría (CNC), since he has a voting intention of 21.4%, followed by Galán with 21.3 % and Bolívar with 13.9%.

These votes will be part of the electoral day that will take place at the national level, where the following will be elected: 32 governors; 418 deputies that will make up the departmental assemblies; 1,102 mayors; 12,072 councilors from all the municipalities and cities of the country and 6,513 councilors that will make up the Local Administrative Boards (JAL), according to the Registrar's Office. Remember that to know your polling place, you only have to enter the page of the entity mentioned above and enter your identification number to know the place where you must go to exercise your right.
