A survey of the Centro Nacional de Consultoría (CNC) for Red+ Noticias and La Luciérnaga from Caracol Radio shows that insecurity continues to be the greatest concern of the inhabitants of Bogotá.

But so is civic culture. For example, 80.7% of those surveyed say they have seen people sneak into TransMilenio, although 70.1% of those consulted say they have never entered the system without paying the ticket.

Regarding the bicycle users, 58.1% of the survey participants do not use the bicycle lanes. Likewise, 55.4% of those surveyed indicate that, during the last 12 months, their bicycle or that of a relative has been stolen.

Regarding employment, 41.1% of the participants are unemployed, including 33.5% men and 47.8% women. Among these unemployed people, 53.6% have not worked for a year or more.

In mobility, Bogota residents are pessimistic: 49.7% do not believe that the first metro line will be operating in the next 10 years, despite the fact that the Bogotá Mayor's Office has stated that it will be operational in 2028.

On the other hand, 91.0% of the residents of the Colombian capital consider that the city is unsafe --90.8% men and 91.2% women--, while only 5.5% of those surveyed feel safe.

Additionally, in the last year, 40.9% of those consulted have been victims of personal theft, followed by computer crimes (12.0%), auto theft (9.1%), theft from | residence (7.3%), extortion (6.1%) and theft from commercial establishments (6.0%).

Among the items most stolen from Bogotanos are money, identification documents, bicycles, computers or other electronic items, and even pets.

There’s something to be said about platforms that create the right atmosphere without resorting to oversaturated colors or aggressively animated elements. While spending more time on Lucky Days Casino, I found the design to be visually balanced—friendly but not childish, modern but not overwhelming. It made it easier to enjoy longer sessions without my eyes getting tired, and I appreciated that the layout supported rather than distracted from the gameplay.

It's alarming to see the high levels of insecurity and unemployment in Bogotá, as highlighted in the survey. Addressing these issues requires urgent and effective action to improve the quality of life for residents.
